“She offered herself honestly and beautifully, sharing something from within her laced with courage and hope. She showed me beauty and woke up a longing in me to take part in it. The beauty she shared was, quite simply, herself. And in sharing herself, she showed me a glimpse of the glory of God.”

“Art is when we do work that matters in a creative way; in a way that touches people and changes them for the better.” - seth godin
I’ve always loved writing. It gives me such joy. It connects me to myself. To how I’m doing. Most of all it connects me to God. To what he's teaching me in that day, that moment, through that person, experience, hardship.
God’s been showing me that we all have a story inside of us that wants to come out - to bring us to know ourselves more fully thus knowing God, more of his character and how he talks to us, how he loves us. I never described or even thought of myself as a creative person or someone who could be one, but I look back at times in my life and its dotted everywhere. My favourite times in class was when I could write a story.
I never thought I was creative because I wasn't the best artist, music wasn't a strong suit and I really just didn't cut it in photography. But I started journalling and as dumb as it sounds I started writing long posts on social media. God showed me I’ve always loved writing and how He put that in me for Him and others and believe it or not for me too. You have something to, friend.
There’s something beautiful about telling a part of yourself and discovering more of you and more of God, there's something amazing about doing that and having other people learn more about themselves and about God.
I loved the moments when people would tell me that something I shared touched or moved them. I love how if we’re willing God will move in such powerful ways through our stories to other people. Whats equally as amazing, sometimes more so is vice versa. Those unexpected moments when someone else’s story touches you so so deeply. You can't help but want some of it - you want to stir that up in others to.
I believe with every fibre of my being that we all have creativity within us, we must be brave enough to let it out. to draw it out, to pull it out for the benefit of others and for the benefit of ourselves and most of all to point towards the Creator of all.
Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren't always comfortable, but they're never weakness. - Brené Brown
